The younger generation is relocating because of economic conditions. Parents and grandparents are relocating to be near their children.
Some Baby Boomers need more assistance and are investigating alternate living arrangements. 55+ communities, assistance living, rentals, seasonal second homes are examples of alternatives for Baby Boomers.
Downsizing is a major concern for all. What do I do with “my stuff”? Do I keep it? Should I sell it or donate it? There are many services and charities to help you get through the maze.
Since 1986 I have seen many changes in the real estate market. The Baby Boomer’s Challenge is one of the biggest because it affects all the family members and everyone’s future plans. It is very complicated. It takes a lot of thought, planning and discussion. I achieved my SRES, Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation, because of the multitude of this market place needs to achieve their goals.
