Overview
Marketview Heights in northeast Rochester is best known for, and named for, the Rochester Public Market, where shoppers can buy locally grown produce and other food and a variety of other goods. The boundaries are Clifford Avenue to the north, the Inner Loop and East Main Street to the south, North Goodman Street to the east, and North Street to the west.
The neighborhood includes the historic Station 55 loft apartments on Railroad Street, and the towering Main Street Armory on East Main.
Local Museums & Landmarks
The public market has been in this area since 1905. The armory was built in 1905 for the National Guard. The original Eastman School of Dentistry remains nearby.
