Recreation & Entertainment The thriving village of Spencerport is the recreational center of Ogden, attracting not only residents, but tourists as well. There's an historic tavern on the Erie Canal in Ogden and several golf courses are located here. Parks Northampton Park on Hubbell Road provides over 970 acres of hiking trails. It also features a downhill ski slope, model airplane field, trout fishing in Salmon Creek, and shelters can be reserved; Springdale Farms at 700 Colby Street is a working farm operated by developmentally challenged adults. Pineway Ponds is 72 acres of green-space just north of the Village of Spencerport with lodges, sports areas, hiking and fishing… There area a series of hiking, biking and snowmobile trails in the area as well.
Annual Events Spencerport Canal Days in July feature an arts & crafts show, a car show, live music and fireworks; The "Music On the Canal" concert series runs all summer long; a Chamber Golf Tournament is held in July; and the annual Spencerport Firemen's Carnival features a parade, rides, food and more in June. |
