Recreation & Entertainment Along with all of the “Oz” attractions in Chittenango, there are many other things to do and see around here. Oneida Lake, at the northern end of town, is popular for boating, swimming, fishing and camping. The Chittenango Landing Boat Museum tells the history of cargo boats on the Erie Canal. The Wild Animal Park in Chittenango is open from Memorial Day to October and features tigers, bears, zebras and a petting zoo. Empire Buffalo is a bison farm on Falls Road in Chittenango. Just east of the town of Sullivan, in the town of Lenox, the village of Canastota is the home of the International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum, which holds an annual induction ceremony that draws visitors from all over. |
