The easternmost part of Seneca Falls is the shoreline for Cayuga Lake, which is enormously popular in the summer for swimming, boating, fishing and camping. Cayuga Lake State Park is located in Seneca Falls. The New York Chiropractic College is here, as well as Seneca Falls Country Club, a mile-long sculpture trail and the Cayuga-Seneca Canal, a 12-mile canal that used to be part of the Erie Canal. This area is within the extremely popular Finger Lakes Wine Trail, with vineyards and wineries all along both Cayuga Lake and, just west, Seneca Lake. You’re in the heart of the Finger Lakes region, with lots of history, festivals and celebrations and a good variety of shopping mixed in.

Local Museums/Landmarks
Seneca Falls has plenty of historic sites to see, starting with the National Women’s Hall of Fame and the Women’s Rights Historical Park. Those sites are here to commemorate the first women’s rights convention, which was held in Seneca Falls in 1848. The Wesleyan Chapel, where that convention was held, is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Elizabeth Cady Stanton House, home to the women’s rights pioneer, is in Seneca Falls. The Seneca Falls Visitor Center helps tell the history of this area. Other sites are the Seneca Museum of Waterways and Industry and Trinity Episcopal Church, noted for its Tiffany stained glass windows. As mentioned, there’s a lot of history here.
