The town has a few small businesses, but most shopping and recreational activities are centered around its southerly neighbors, Palmyra and Macedon. The Marion Central School District serves residents who live here.
Local Museums/Landmarks
The Marion Museum, part of the Marion Historical Association, is at 3827 North Main St. Plans are under way to move the museum to a new location on South Main Street. The Ezra Phelps Farm Complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. The Hill Cumorah Visitors Center is not far to the south in Palmyra.
